não gostei muito do game of thrones enquanto o lia (achei meio chatinho), mas confesso que passei os últimos meses lembrando das tramas todas do livro e pensando no que aconteceria com os personagens todos na continuação da interessante história contada pelo george martin. adorei ler este segundo livro da série! tirando umas cem páginas que descrevem guerra (sacal pra mim), o resto do clash of kings é muito gostoso e rápido de ler -- o george faz com que a gente queira saber mais e mais e mais sobre o que acontece depois. é impressionante como ele escreve bem, e como ele não tem dó de acabar com muitos dos meus personagens mais queridos. é impressionante também a quantidade de personagens e histórias paralelas que o texto traz, como se se tratasse de uma história de verdade, e não de ficção. deixei o terceiro livro da série em sampa, o que é uma pena, porque se eu o tivesse comigo, começaria a lê-lo agorinha! porque continuo bem curiosa com a história :-)

i didn't enjoy reading game of thrones so much (i thought it was a little boring), but i spent the last months remembering its stories and thinking of what would happen to all its characters in the sequel books. i loved reading this second volume of the series! apart from 100 pages describing wars, the rest of the book is fun and nice to read -- george martin makes us want to know more and more about what is going to happen next. he has a nice writing style and does not hesitate to kill many of my favorites characters. i find it amazing how many parallel plots and characters he describes, as if this was not fiction, but a real story, full of people and happenings and details. it's a pity i left the third book of the series in são paulo, because i'd love to start reading it right now. i'm super curious about the rest of the story :-)
